On the Wave (2021)
This piece was inspired by the American Illustrator, Scott Bakal. I was drawn to his use of contour lines to imply movement, and settled on creating a turbulent yet vibrant scene at sea. I chose to the colors and positioned them in a way that the piece itself is a color spectrum starting in the top right of the piece, moving to the center left, and back to the bottom right.

(Alternate Version)
Here instead of going with the usual colored lineart, I decided to keep the thick black lines to keep the viewer's attention on the line work. The thick black lines make the piece feel as if it was graffiti art, a sharp contrast from the original.
