This piece is part of an ongoing project centered around a researcher adventuring across a Eurasia filled with mythical creatures and ancient ruins spread across the land.  Our researcher has journeyed to the southeastern peninsula of the continent in hopes of meeting The World Turtle.  It is said The World Turtle has lived for over a millennia, and remembers historical events not recorded by man.  In the World Turtle's forested shell lies yet another stone monument inscribed with history.  On the right hand side is the orthogonal for the mythical creature in the painting.
